I am 33 but without the wisdom and the damaged corners I feel like I’m aged somewhere between 6 and 23. I have come to learn that quality of life is much better than sacrificing it for bucket loads of cash. I tried the corporate ladder in the world of advertising but kept falling off so now I work part-time in a bookstore and study two courses via correspondence – Editing, Publishing & Proofreading and Advanced Professional Writing & Editing. By the end of it I hope to be a mechanic. Somehow these activities take up all my time so I am filled with trepidation as to how the resolution challenge will fit in.
I consider myself a connoisseur of music, TV, books, film and art. I am, however, completely incapable of crafting any of these things myself. I may not remember your name but for some unknown reason I can tell you who sang a particular song or acted in a particular show. My brain seems to like soaking up the unimportant things.
I live in Brisbane, Australia with my German Shepherd and my parents. I haven’t always lived with them so I don’t feel like a complete loser but for now the arrangement works well and helps me financially while I pursue a different career path. I also owe them rather a lot of money. Plus, they have a sweet TV. When people question my choices I remind myself that I don’t have to live my life the way other people expect me to.
